Simulated sex on command

Simulated StrokeThis guy is great. I want one just like him at my house.

He doesn’t talk. He never wears clothing. He’s handsome and nicely proportioned. He tirelessly stands at full attention by the bedside until you invite him to have sex. When beckoned, he unquestioningly jumps into the sack with you and follows your lead as you take him through a variety of fuck positions. You can give him a hand job, pleasure him with oral, or have him spank your behind while he bangs you doggy style, among an array of other choices.

Who is this guy, you ask? He’s one of the sex “robots” you can have your way with inside the online 3-D community of RedLightCenter.

It’s a brilliant addition to the in-world experience, in my opinion. And that’s for at least three reasons:

– It’s a great way to practice your sex interface skills before you try to get lucky with another user.
– You get to autonomously indulge in (virtual) objectification, and this will be even more the case once BDSM is incorporated into some future version of RLC. Supposedly, this feature is in the works, but I’ll have to confirm that. (That’s for a future post).
– It’s ideal for when you’re not in the mood for being social.

Virtual FingerThere are women robots, as well, and they’re up for hetero encounters as well as girl-on-girl. (Guy-on-guy sex is not yet a possibility in RLC, robot or no robot). Both the male and female automated avatars are on duty 24/7 inside the erotic environment’s Fantasy Hotel. There’s a select number of them at the ready inside designated rooms marked accordingly with signage.

Why I wound up with an automated avatar in a virtual environment designed for social interaction with other human users I guess says something about my personality. Well, I actually did have an encounter with a genuine person via that person’s avatar. Still — I admit it: as soon as realistic-looking mechanical mates become commercially available in the physical world at a reasonable price, I’ll be among the first in line to purchase one.

I do wonder about a few things though. Firstly, does it become boring after a while? Or would it maintain its appeal, sort of like masturbation? Also, I wonder if you can even objectify a real-life person to the same degree that you can an automated/synthetic partner. I mean, with an artificial partner, there’s more of a potential to be totally liberated from your conscience while letting your inner ‘monster’ out to play; I say “potential,” because I think certain people still won’t be able to decompress enough to enjoy themselves due to factors such as guilt and shame.

What would you do if left alone with a very realistic-looking, animated dummy? Would your actions surprise you? Scare you? Would you act upon all your urges? If not, why not?

For me the whole point is interaction with another human being. Sure we sometimes fumble around (Oh, so that’s how the Xcite blindfold works) but we usually have a good chuckle and then get back to the action. Discovering all the capabilities of your chosen virtual space is so much more fun with (the virtual representation of) a real person.

I like a little of both. A little real, a little robot. Both have their perks. I’m the type of person who likes to enjoy sex in as many ways as you can think of: real-life male, real-life female, mechanical mate, sex toy, male avatar, female avatar, furry avatar, etc., etc., etc. In fact, I have a hankering to do it with a werewolf in Second Life. ^-^

It all depends what turns you on. I seriously prefer a relationship with my real life sex. Online I prefer casual sex and no relationship at all (have avoided cyber with friends just because I want to really let loose and not knowing the other person is part of that appeal). But all of those preferences relate to the idea that there is another person on the other side that I have to consider.

Which is why robots are wicked hot. I can’t consider them as people at all. One of my favorite fantasies a few years back involved the Jude Law gigilo bot from the film AI. Too sci-fi? No, it’s really not. Check out the youtube clip of Johnny Depp with one of his animatronic dopplegangers at the new Pirates of the Carribean ride. What would I pay for one of those in my house? Given my purely smutty reaction to both pirate movies (and embarrassingly fanatic Depp obsession), I might trade a non-vital organ for a sexually capable Jack Sparrow animatronic/fucking machine.

Er… maybe you were talking online virtual world robots only though? In that case I might not care so much for it. I haven’t been too turned on with the Virtually Jenna type of solo play games and attributed it to the lack of both psychological/social AND physical stimulation. The RL robot could at least get my body into it, and my mind would follow, but the virtual bot has very little going for it outside of the AI/visual/audio. And at that point it is almost like bad, interruptable porn. So I’d rather just watch porn. ;p

No, in the physical world. I’d get a male for sure, and I may not ever leave the house again. :D

With a robot either real or virtual there is no desire for “me” involved. I like to think that the person behind that avatar is playing SL with one hand on the mouse and the other on his joystick, That he/she has a real physical desire for me (in the form of my virtual representation, my avatar). That is what makes the experience for me.

“In fact, I have a hankering to do it with a werewolf in Second Life.”

    Hmmm…

I can understand that one. I’m looking for a Little Red Ridinghood outfit and a willing Big Bad Wolf. :-)

Hold up a sec :-) , can we go back to the fact that you can’t have guy-on-guy sex in RLD? Does it have to do with the logistics of the sexual interaction mechanics, or is it, you know, for less okay reasons? Just curious…

That’s what I’m finding out right now. Stay tuned…. It should be in my next post or two (same with BDSM). My own guess would be that it has nothing to do with logistics. If they could make a penis penetrate a female avatar’s virtual orifices, why not a male avatar’s? I think it has more to do with the prevailing preferences of RLC’s VIP users. Again, that’s just a guess.

Overall, the sex in RLC is very conventional right now (more posts on that to follow, too.) I guess they had to start somewhere. But I believe the animations team is working on a slew of new stuff, and BDSM and guy-on-guy sex are in the works. But I have to confirm that. More to come!
